Going Green

Mirror Wall, green dresser, furniture painting

Y’all know I get some crazy ideas. This one was all in my head, and it actually turned out just like I imagined!!! It all started with this dresser I found on Facebook Marketplace…

When I picked it up, the lady selling it asked me if I was going to paint it grey. No, not grey. I’m thinking GREEN. Her eyes widened and then she half smiled and said, “Well, that will look nice.” She was obviously not sold on my plan.

Now to pick the perfect non-grey paint color!! My friend Linda from Life on Summer Hill has a great blog post on choosing paint colors. She suggested getting 4 paint chips of each color and taping them together to have a larger sample. Isn’t that genius? So I gathered my top 4 favorite greens from my local Sherwin Williams store. Number 4, Sherwin Williams Greens, was the winner!

Just painting furniture in my entryway. No big deal.

I primed and painted and fell more and more in love with this bright emerald green!

My friend Ashley suggested I use white marble drawer pulls, and I found these beauties at Hobby Lobby!! They really have a fabulous selection of hardware, and you can get a great deal if you wait for drawer pulls to be in the 50% off sale {usually every 3 weeks}.

Have you used a bright paint color in your home? I’d love to see it!!
